3 benefits of jumping

Welcome to the weekly warble here at Ideanthro Movement.

This week I'd like to share with you 3 benefits of jumping for your health and fitness.

1) Jumping will help keep you nimble. That in turn will help you move better and with more ease.

2) Jumping helps to improve bone density. Of course, you need to ease into it in a sensible way relative to your current bone density and abilities, but bones and bone density respond well to high impact activities.

3) Jumping is a useful skill. You might not want to go leaping off tall buildings, but having a little pop in your step helps whether you're out bushwalking, in the garden or simply avoiding the toys that the kids left strewn all over the floor.

It's for these reasons and more that we regularly practice jumping in our natural movement classes.

Our natural movement classes run on weekday mornings at 9:15am and 10:15am, as well as at 5:00pm on Mondays, Tuesday and Wednesdays.
