A fundamental truth about training
Welcome to the weekly warble here at Ideanthro Movement.
Today I'm going to talk about those times when you feel like you're not making progress in your training.
A fundamental truth about developing the strength, flexibility and skill to move better is that the movements you can't currently do will feel impossible right up until the moment that you do them for the first time.
During that time it is easy to lose motivation. It doesn't feel like you're improving. But that couldn't be further from the truth.
So long as you have a sensible program and you're following it consistently, you will be making progress. You just have to persist until you reach one of those glorious moments where you unlock a new movement.
In this video you see one of those moments. As little as a week before this video was filmed, the advanced tuck planche felt impossible to me. And then I could do it. And I still can!
The longer that you train for, the more often you will see this play out, and the easier it will be to persist in those times of apparent stagnation.
