Fitness isn't a sprint

Welcome to the weekly warble here at Ideanthro Movement!

This week I'm going to talk (hopefully briefly... for a change!) about two really important things that I think about all the time when creating our fitness programs here at Ideanthro Movement. They're not the only two things I think about, but they're both important and often overlooked).

Those two things are:

(A) to make it enjoyable (i.e. preventing boredom, burnout etc)

and

(B) to make it sustainable (i.e. limiting injury risk as much as possible)

The thing about fitness is that by its very nature it's a long life pursuit. From whatever point you become interested in working on your fitness, it's something that you need to keep working on consistently for the rest of your life. That means that it's our job as coaches to introduce you to fitness approaches and ways of thinking about fitness that help you to be consistent with it.

For me as a coach that comes down to making our programs enjoyable and sustainable.

If you enjoy it, you're more likely to keep doing it because you want to!

If it's sustainable, your body will allow you to keep doing it!

I hope you found that useful.
