Movement games lead to better movement

Welcome to the weekly warble here at Ideanthro Movement.  

This week we're talking about why movement games (like the one in the video) are so good for you.

At our gym we're interested in helping you to move better and more easily in daily life. That means getting good at moving in challenging situations. Sure, a lot of movement in daily life isn't challenging at all (that's actually a big part of the problem). But some is! 

I'm sure we've all been caught out carrying 3 bags of shopping and a half eaten banana while our five year old runs off chasing a lizard. Ok, maybe not that exact situation, but you get the idea.

The beauty of movement games is that they give us opportunities to practice moving in challenging but fun situations so that when we encounter challenging situations in the real world we're better prepared.
